Most operations that run roll-off & container work also run other parts of the chain. The program underwrites the whole operation together. See the other segments below or start from the program overview.

Roll-off & dumpster insurance FAQ

Common questions, straight answers.

For anything specific to your operation, call 978-897-7773 and ask about the Waste Industry Insurance Program.

Does general liability cover damage from placing a dumpster on a customer's property?
Generally yes. Damage to driveways, lawns, curbs and structures during placement or pickup is a core general liability exposure, and it's one of the most common claims roll-off operators see. The key is making sure limits match what your commercial and municipal customers require.
Are my dumpsters covered while they sit at customer sites?
Not automatically. Containers away from your premises typically need to be scheduled under property or inland marine coverage. The program can cover the container fleet wherever it sits, including damage, fire and theft.
Do roll-off haulers need pollution insurance for construction debris?
In most cases, yes. Loads leak, and customers put liquids and contaminants in boxes without telling you. Standard auto policies commonly exclude pollution, so transportation pollution coverage is what responds to a leaking load on the road.
